Add New HD2010/05/05 |
If HDs on your server has no free area, Add New HD and create a new partition to use it.
This example is the procedure.

[1] | See current status for partition table. |
[root@dlp ~]# sfdisk -l Disk /dev/sda: 38913 cylinders, 255 heads, 63 sectors/track Units = cylinders of 8225280 bytes, blocks of 1024 bytes, counting from 0 Device Boot Start End #cyls #blocks Id System /dev/sda1 * 0+ 260 261- 2096451 83 Linux /dev/sda2 261 38912 38652 310472190 8e Linux LVM /dev/sda3 0 - 0 0 0 Empty /dev/sda4 0 - 0 0 0 Empty

[3] | Create a new partition in new HD to use it. It's LVM partition in this example. |
[root@dlp ~]# fdisk /dev/sdb The number of cylinders for this disk is set to 20023.
