Install Eucalyptus (frontend)2010/11/23

  Configure Cloud Server with Eucalyptus. This example based on the environment below.

(1) frontend
[10.0.0.20]
- Fedora 14 (x86_64)   KVM Host

(2) node1
[10.0.0.30]
- Fedora 14 (x86_64)   KVM Host


It's necessarry to be running KVM hypervisor on the frontend and node1.
And also, because this example configures networking with SYSTEM Mode, it's necessarry to be running DHCP Server on the frontend.

First, Configure frontend on here.

[1] Install some packages first.
[root@frontend ~]#
yum -y install java-1.6.0-openjdk java-devel ant ant-nodeps httpd aoetools vblade vtun
[2] Install Eucalyptus.
[root@frontend ~]#
vi /etc/yum.repos.d/euca.repo


[euca]
name=Eucalyptus
baseurl=http://www.eucalyptussoftware.com/downloads/repo/eucalyptus/2.0.1/yum/fedora/
enabled=0


[root@frontend ~]#
yum --enablerepo=euca -y install eucalyptus-cloud eucalyptus-cc eucalyptus-walrus eucalyptus-sc euca2ools --nogpgcheck


[root@frontend ~]#
/etc/rc.d/init.d/eucalyptus-cloud start

Starting Eucalyptus services: walrus sc cloud done.
[root@frontend ~]#
/etc/rc.d/init.d/eucalyptus-cc start

Starting Eucalyptus cluster controller: done.
[root@frontend ~]#
chkconfig eucalyptus-cloud on

[root@frontend ~]#
chkconfig eucalyptus-cc on
