OpenStack Pike : Configure Neutron#5 (Compute Node)2017/09/04

 
Configure OpenStack Network Service (Neutron).
This example is not All in One Settings like here, but Configure the 3 Nodes environment like follows. Neutron needs a plugin software, it's possible to choose it from some softwares. This example chooses ML2 plugin. ( it uses Open vSwitch under the backend )

[1] Install Neutron services on Compute Node.
# install from Pike, EPEL

[root@node01 ~]#
yum --enablerepo=centos-openstack-pike,epel -y install openstack-neutron openstack-neutron-ml2 openstack-neutron-openvswitch
[2] Configure as a Compute node.
[root@node01 ~]#
mv /etc/neutron/neutron.conf /etc/neutron/neutron.conf.org

[root@node01 ~]#
vi /etc/neutron/neutron.conf

[4] Start Neutron services.

ln -s /etc/neutron/plugins/ml2/ml2_conf.ini /etc/neutron/plugin.ini

systemctl start openvswitch

systemctl enable openvswitch

[root@node01 ~]#
ovs-vsctl add-br br-int

[root@node01 ~]#
systemctl restart openstack-nova-compute

[root@node01 ~]#
systemctl start neutron-openvswitch-agent

systemctl enable neutron-openvswitch-agent
