Configure SSL/TLS Setting on MariaDB.

Get SSL Certificate, or Create self-signed Certificate.
It uses self signed Certificate on this example. |
[2] | Configure MariaDB. |
# copy certificates root@www:~# mkdir /var/lib/mysql/pki root@www:~# cp /etc/ssl/private/{server.crt,server.key} /var/lib/mysql/pki/

chown -R mysql:mysql /var/lib/mysql/pki

vi /etc/mysql/mariadb.conf.d/50-server.cnf # line 88 : specify certificates you set
ssl-cert = /var/lib/mysql/pki/server.crt
ssl-key = /var/lib/mysql/pki/server.key

systemctl restart mariadb

[3] | To connect with SSL/TLS from Clients, mysql command has [--ssl] option, however, it is enabled by default on MariaDB 10.11 client, so SSL/TLS connection is used automatically if SSL/TLS settings is enabled on Server side setting. |
